DataGYM Architecture

DataGYM is a product suite targeted as middleware data consolidation and infrastructure tools for e-business with application focus for e-fraud and e-profiling solutions. In addition, it has modules suited for batch processing environment in traditional "back-offices" and data centers for a range of applications in Direct Marketing, Customer Cross-Selling and Retention programs.

DataGYM Data Repository or DataGYM DR has a specific function to maintain temporary or permanent control over data and integrity of relationships that have been established externally or internally by various processes or tools using DataGYM Modules. The DataGYM Modules make this possible by specializing on various activities related to cleaning, parsing, validating, standardizing, relating or organizing, matching one set of data to another in a manner that brings forth new meaning and hidden nuances within that data at a personal or individual (whether consumer or business) level.

DataGYM has an open object-oriented architecture. Each module has a well-defined "Object" hierarchy. Based on the required functionality, Client (Source) Data is mapped to the Object hierarchy of a DataGYM Module. This map drives all processes. The DataGYM architecture can support and seamlessly cater to any industry-specific data model. An intrinsic robust DataGYM metadata store facilitates this process.

Client Layer:

The DataGYM engines use a pure client-server model in which the user interface is implemented on the client. The front end of the application includes routines for such as user viewing, API interfaces to online applications, etc.

All logical communication between the client-side visual environment and the server-side execution environment happens via the framework infrastructure layer.

Application Layer:

The application layer framework allows DataGYM to establish business rules above the specificities of the data layer. This enables us to develop the DataGYM software tools tioo be compatible with most popular database engines and do what it does best, that is, establish a standardized business level application that can be codified within the software components.

The goal of the framework is to enable customization and technology deployment independently of the underlying platform. The framework is also the component that enables web delivery of applications and of the various components of DataGYM.

Data Access Layer:

The Data Access Layer is designed to separate the Software functionality from the data access and storage needs. It facilitates the collection, storage, and pre-processing of massive amounts of data. The Data Access layer contains the necessary mapping between various input and legacy data sources to DataGYM data model.

The Data Access Layer also contains the business rules necessary to identify the data essential to carry out its task. If necessary, it extracts the requisite data from specific data fields, based on provided business rules. This may include data that is specific and proprietary to an industry. Data is collected from a variety of enterprise data sources, including log files, the merchant server, the campaign server, the sales system, any legacy systems, the customer database, the enterprise data warehouse, and whatever other sources a given business may need. Thus DataGYM allows customer installations to create and maintain their own data structures and minimize DataGYM installation and integration work.

Sometimes to achieve processing efficiencies, it is necessary to execute certain processing logic within the Data Access Layer. DataGYM is designed to take advantage of this opportunity when ever possible.

Data Environment:

DataGYM can run on any platform (NT, UNIX, LINUX, etc.) leverage data in any Database environment (MS SQL, Oracle, Informix, Sybase, etc,) and enhance the capability of existing ERP environments (SAP, PeopleSoft or BAAN). DataGYM Middleware tools can be invoked directly from these environments to perform specific data mobilization and data triangulation functions for building customer relationships entirely within the operational control of the Client environment. DataGYM can leveraged using data from a variety of enterprise data sources, including log files, the web server, the campaign server, the sales system, other CRM enterprise systems, legacy systems storing customer database, the enterprise data warehouse, and whatever other data sources a given business may use.
